This was a little frustrating since we’d already paid and our car was ready. The agent was pleasant and I felt bad they were dealing with some rude people. I'm shocked to see Budget get such high marks. For me, they were awful: refused to pay up after a big 44k GBP fire, avoided further pay-outs on very spurious grounds, then charged extra fees after I'd tried to end the policy. (Budget will reply to this, expressing 'concern' - but their follow-up process, I've seen this month, is just a PR exercise!) When I insisted it wasn't us, the Budget rep shrugged his shoulders, saying 'claim through your insurance.' Needless to say, my insurance didn't cover such damage, British Airways Holidays got a stock answer from Budget, and weren't interested in pursuing my complaint any further, and nor was my Credit Card company - so I was landed with a bill for nearly £500.

Awaiting for my flight refund to be processed for almost a year now. Instead of providing any support BudgetAir is just pushing all the fault onto the airline, COVID-19 times and keeps repeating there is nothing that can be done. Disgusting customer service. I insured with another mob but had to explain my dealings with budget so that my answer to having had my policy cancelled will not jeopardise any possible future claims.
